PRÉAMBULE

Comme son nom l'indique, le fil actuel va présenter des variations de casques, d'insignes, de grades et autres personnalisations pour les soldats américains pouvant être trouvés dans le jeu (et par voie de conséquence dans GEIST).

EXPLICATIONS DE LA CHOSE

Je vais tenter d'expliquer rapidement, simplement et clairement comment fonctionne la " mise en place " des textures de GEIST sur les unités d'Iron Front.

Tout soldat est en fait un modèle 3D sur lequel est appliqué un skin (une "peau") qui lui est lié, et qui est lui même "peint" par application d'une texture.
De plus, à chaque soldat est rajouté des éléments d'équipement tels que le casque, les cartouchières, la giberne, etc (qui sont eux mêmes des modèles 3D avec un skin et une texture).
Si je ne me trompe pas trop, dans Iron Front la gestion des différents éléments des soldats est faite par un fichier (ou des fichiers ?) .rvmat qui indique(nt) au jeu quelles textures et quels équipements chaque type de soldat possède. C'est ainsi par exemple que le Sapeur et l'Officier n'ont pas le même équipement.

Tout ça pour dire que le fonctionnement des textures chez les Rangers américains se présente ainsi :

Pourquoi a-t-il des éléments de couleur "flashy" que vous n'avez jamais vu sur le jeu ? Tout simplement parce que j'ai appliqué des textures de couleurs "primaires" avec la commande this setObjectTexture [00,"IMAGE.paa"]; , mise dans le champ Initialisation de l'unité.
00 est un nombre que j'ai fait varier dans mes tests de 0 à 30 (le premier étant toujours 0 et non 1) et qui est attribué à chaque élément distinct du soldat par le .rvmat (d'après moi). IMAGE.paa est un nom de fichier image .paa à remplacer par le nom du fichier image .paa à appliquer selon les envies.
Cette façon de tester les unités me permet donc de voir quels sont les éléments verrouillés ou non.

Pour les Rangers américains, vous pouvez donc constater que l'uniforme n'est pas modifiable en l'état actuel des choses. Sur cet exemple, il n'y a pas de sac à dos, mais c'est pareil : celui-ci est verrouillé ; ou du moins je ne sais pas comment le modifier alors qu'il est déjà placé sur le doc d'un soldat.
Par contre, vous pouvez voir que le casque, ainsi que les zones avant et arrière de celui-ci, deux zones sur la manche gauche, la giberne, la gourde, les cartouchières sont modifiables au niveau de la texture ; ce qui m'a permis de réaliser les textures présentées dans les posts suivants.

Voilà pour l'explication de la chose : c'est aussi simple que ça. ;)

REMARQUE

Les noms des fichiers tiennent compte d'une nomenclature qui m'est personnelle ; ne soyez pas effrayé, je pense qu'elle est logique... -_- C'est mon avis et je le partage... :P:D


Les noms de fichiers de texture en rouge ne sont pas encore disponible dans la version courante ou dans l'un des patchs téléchargeables. Ils seront intégrés dans un patch à venir, ou dans une version ultérieure.


Mogwaii ayant réalisé des camos de son cru, ceux-ci sont intégrés dans GEIST avec sa permission. :)

Remarques
Je laisse le soin aux Mission-Makers de me mettre les grades sur l'épaule, l'avant et l'arrière du casque selon la mission, ainsi que le symbole du groupe de combat (Leader, Able, Baker, etc).
Par contre, je demande expressément à avoir le logo du Clan des Officiers à l'arrière du casque (nom de fichier : USA_Casque_Arriere_CDO_EM.paa (Homme du Rang), USA_Casque_Arriere_CDO_NCO.paa (Sous-Officier) ou USA_Casque_Arriere_CDO_WO.paa (Officier).
